Life - a gift like no other
Life - a gift like no other🎁
Imagine that you are here – not by chance, but as a miracle. Your heart beats, quietly and faithfully, each beat a reminder that you are alive. Every day you wake up, you get a new chance, a blank page in the book of your life – a book only you can write. No one else can fill the pages for you.
Life is a gift. Not always easy to see, because some days are hard. Sometimes the gift is wrapped in layers of pain, loss and doubt. It is easy to believe that it has lost its value. But often, precisely where it hurts, there is something beautiful – a moment of insight, an outstretched hand, a quiet strength you didn't know you had.
We didn't get to choose this gift. None of us asked for it. But we get to choose how we receive it. Some days we open it with wonder and joy. Other days we have to tear and struggle to see anything valuable at all. And that's okay. Life isn't always beautiful, but it's always real.
Think about everything you've experienced. All the fits of laughter, the tears, the nights you thought you couldn't handle anymore – but still did. All the people you've met, some for a while, some forever. The days you wanted to stop time, and the ones you wished would go by faster. All of this is life. All of this is the gift.
So put your hand over your heart for a moment. Do you feel the beats? It is the sound of days not yet lived, opportunities you didn’t know were there. It is the reminder that you are still here – that you still have time. Life is not just a gift you receive, it is also a gift you give. Your words, your actions, your footprints in other people’s lives – they are part of this gift.
Take care of it. Not because it's perfect, but because it's yours. Use it well, love it while you have it. And when the day comes when you have to give it back, you can know that you opened it with all of yourself. That you lived. 🎁
Technique: Hand-colored Gicleè print. (First, a painting is painted with mixed techniques using acrylic paint, fabrics, wallpaper, drawing pencils, markers and pens. The painting is then printed using a method called "Gicleè print". The artist approves the proof before it is printed. When the prints are finished, the artist processes each individual print by drawing and painting on top of the print again. In other words, all prints are unique. The print is signed as a hand-colored print and is numbered and signed.)
